About Us

Christmas time is upon us once again. At this time of the year many of us are struck with the Christmas spirit, helping and giving. For a few weeks people lend a hand, donate to non-profit organizations, help a fellow human being but why must this happen only once a year during the yuletide season?

People open their hearts during this festive time yet still for many homeless animals and feral cats are but a nuisance; a blind spot to ignore and avoid. For these animals forgotten and cast aside, we forget that many once belonged to someone. For many of them they were once loving pets now cast aside to fend for themselves.

At the beginning of November three cats, two 5 months old and one an elder were dumped here at Loving the Feral Soul Inc. Looking for food and shelter these three cats were taken from what they thought was love and care by their loving human parents and left in the middle of nowhere to survive. All three cats were vaccinated and taken in by us. They are fed and cared for and loved as all creatures should be.

Give thanks for what you have. A roof over your head, food on the table, warm clothes and a bed. People who respect and cherish you and most of all humans who would not leave you to your defenses, outcast and treated inhumanely simply because they can. Be thankful the people in your lives don't see you as nothing more then a four legged creature who can't speak for him/herself and depends on you to offer the proper care they so deserve. Be grateful the people in your lives care about you; that they won't take you for a car drive one day to some unknown part of the world unfamiliar to you and throw you out the car without even the smallest of necessities to survive.

Although I often despair at this world we live in and the lack of compassion we as humans seem to suffer from, I still hold onto hope, hope that someday people will stop being self-centered and selfish, that someday people will care for their pets and not see them as nothing more then property that can be disposed of, carelessly replaced by materialistic greed and self-importance. It is my hope that people will open their hearts not only at Christmas but year round and learn the value of life, love, and compassion.

It is this tiny spark of hope that burns within which drives me to continue caring for feral cats and homeless animals the year through and that one day this world we live in will become a more compassionate, decent people.

Merry Christmas to one and all and please love the feral soul and care for the homeless animals not only at Christmas but always; many once knew the meaning of love. After all, we have the capacity to care and love... why not choose to do so for these voiceless wonders that share the world with us?
